Yes, in order to book a therapy session through feelya you will need to register with us. Registration is free of charge.
Yes, all users must be a minimum 18 years of age.
At the moment the platform only accepts therapists based in the UK and who are psychologists registered with the HCPC or psychotherapists registered with the BACP and UK based only clients.
Either, our service is entirely flexible to allow you to choose the level of therapy that suits your needs.
To make a booking with a therapist, you need to log in to your feelya account and go to Find a Therapist in the main navigation bar. Choose a Therapist of your choice, by selecting either of the two therapists suggested by feelya, through our matching algorithm or use our enhanced search function to search for a Therapist of your choice. Explore the profile of each therapist by clicking on the View Full Profile button of the selected Therapist. Press the Book a Session button to access the Therapist’s Calendar. Select a Date and Time that suits your schedule. If your booking request is within 7 days before the session starts date, you will see a pop up message asking you to confirm pre-authorisation payment. Press Confirm. If your booking request is more than 7 days before the session start date, you will not be asked to pre-authorise payment. Pre-authorizing payment will only take place within 7 days before the session starts. You will receive an email notification reminding you to pre-authorise payment, 7 days before the session start time. You will receive an email notification confirming your session request to the therapist. Please note that the status of a booking request will show as Pending until your therapist responds by confirming, declining or suggesting an alternative date / time for your session. You will receive an email notification with your Therapist's response. If the therapist suggests an alternative date/time for a session with you and if the new date/time works for you, log in to your Account, click on My Account at the top navigation bar and then click on Schedule, where you can see all the pending activity in your Account. At the options drop down menu select Accept to confirm the booking. If the new date/time proposed doesn’t suits you, choose Modify to propose an alternative or Cancel to cancel the session request. If you decide to modify or cancel a pending session request or confirmed session you can do so by visiting Schedule and selecting or modifying the relevant option from the options drop down menu corresponding to the relevant booking.
Sessions are usually 45, 50 or 55 minutes in length but this may vary from psychologist to psychologist. Please check when making your booking.
Each of the psychologists or psychotherapists registered with feelya set their own rates. Please check when making your booking.
It is possible to cancel any of your appointments provided you give more than 48 hours notice before your session is scheduled to start. With less than 48 hours before your appointment, you will incur a 40% charge of the advertised rate of the session.
You can rest assured that, as a minimum, all of the therapists signed up with feelya must be psychologists registered with the HCPC or psychotherapists registered with the BACP. Some of the therapists are also registered with other professional bodies such as the Bristish Psychological Society. All psychologists and psychotherapists also have full Professional Indemnity Insurance. We do recommend that you read the therapists profiles carefully. Psychologists and psychotherapists specialise in different areas so it is important that you choose the professional expert that suits your needs.
You can change a therapist at any point. Simply cancel your remaining appointments (up to 48 hours before the appointment to avoid incurring a 40% cancellation charge of the advertised rate of the session), choose your preferred therapist and book your appointment with them.
If, for any reason, you are not happy with the quality of the therapy you are getting, please let us know at email@example.com.
If you need to speak to some immediately and none of our HCPC registered psychologists or BACP registered psychotherapists are available, we would suggest calling either 999 or the Samaritans for free on 116 123 from any phone. They operate a round the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service. You do not need to be suicidal to call the Samaritans. Anything you tell the Samaritans is confidential; you don’t even have to tell them your name.
